When COVID-19 hit our lives in 2020, I felt bewildered amidst the most unpredictable darkness. Each day, I walked alone through the center of Amsterdam with my camera, driven by the urge to document the strangeness of the moment and to cope with my feelings. I felt like entering into an alienated and fragile world where the familiar disappeared and the sense of belonging faded.
